Peter Hallman Award


Peter Hallman Award

Each year this award is presented to a NWRMSL player in memory of Peter Hallman, a long time contributor to softball in this area , who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in June 1990. Award winners exemplify the spirit of community involvement and good sportsmanship as well as being dedicated to the game of fastball.

About

This award is open to any male or female player of Bantam or Midget age registered with the NWRSL. This player should best exemplify the spirit of community involvement and good sportsmanship. Peter Hallman was a long time contributor to minor ball in this area. He was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in June 1990. Submission of possible candidates should include:

  • number of years involved playing organized softball
  • volunteer work done for home association, community of our league
  • overview of contributions made to the team, home association, and league
  • nominee's full name, home address, postal code and phone number and e-mail

Submissions are to be made to the awards committee no later than July 15. Submissions are to be completed on 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper and should be no more than one page in length. They may be point form. Submissions may be e-mailed to any of the committee below.

Presentation will be made if possible at the year end tournament. Winning candidate receives a Peter Hallman trophy and his/ her name is added to the Peter Hallman wall plaque presently kept at Hillside clubhouse.
